Storms Bring Cloud-to-Ground Lightning Reports in Kane County

Weather officials said reports of cloud-to-ground lightning were made in Kane County Wednesday as severe storms rolled through the area, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

The North Aurora Fire Department responded at 7:40 p.m. to the 200 block of Abington and Kathryn lanes after a report of a lightning strike affected six fire alarm panels over two blocks. No fires or injuries were reported, according to the newspaper.
