TAFT BUILT IS GRANTING WISHES IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE

Taft Built Contributes to Cal's Angels

ST. CHARLES, IL, FEBRUARY 27, 2014 –

Taft Built, a family-owned, home renovating and building company based out of South Elgin, has been making dreams come true with outstanding kitchen, bathroom and basement renovations for years, and is now focused on giving back to the community that has supported them. Taft Built is teaming up with Cal’s Angels—a local organization dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer— to help grant wishes to children battling cancer.

When a family chooses Taft Built for their next home renovation project, a percentage of the project cost will be donated to Cal’s Angels. The donation will be made in the family’s name in recognition of their generosity.

“We really felt that we could contribute to Cal’s Angels by helping the people living in the Thornwood neighborhood get involved while they improve their homes,” said Marc Taft, owner of Taft Built. “As a parent of two young children, my wife and I could not imagine what these families are going through, and we felt that contributing to Cal’s Angels to make a child’s day and bring even the slightest amount of joy and relief to these families is something we’d be honored to do.”

Cal’s Angels was created in memory of Tom Sutter’s (founder of Cal’s Angels) oldest child, Cal, who lost his 14 1/2 month battle to leukemia at the age of 13. Cal’s Angels’ goals in the years ahead include taking care of as many children as possible in the Chicagoland area fighting any form of cancer, expanding to other areas of the state and country, creating awareness for pediatric cancer clinical trials and increasing the percentage of dollars that goes toward pediatric cancer research, that is currently less than 4%.

They’ll be helping even more families February 28th with their sold out 9th annual Got Hope Gala at the Q Center in St. Charles with emcees Pat Tomasulo and Steve Cochran from WGN and entertainment by the band Hi Infidelity.

Tom Sutter expressed his gratitude to Taft Built, “This is fabulous and we thank Marc and Taft Built for their upcoming generosity.”
