WATCH: Opening Day for Geneva Baseball Association!
Spring finally has sprung, and there's no better way to celebrate it than by watching these boys of summer get introduced on opening day.
If you ever need a reminder of all that's good in America, stop by the opening day ceremonies of the Geneva Baseball Association.
On Saturday, April 27, hundreds of young players and coaches are introduced by running the bases. Commissioner Dan McGarry said there 100 teams in the league, wth about 12 kids and three coaches per team, for a total of more than 1,500 participants.
MAcGarry runs a great show, which includes the presenation of colors, the National Anthem played by a small group of Geneva Vikings band members, the ceremonial first pitch from the top fundraising sellers, the presentation of Geneva Baseball Association scholarships and the singing of Take Me Out to the Ballgame.
