Your Guide to Local Elections in Geneva, St. Charles

Get out on April 4 and make your vote count.

Voters in St. Charles and Geneva will head to the polls on Tuesday to decide on local candidates seeking election for mayoral, city council and school board races. There are also a couple referendums of interest that could mean the difference between a new library being built in Geneva and a tax increase

Geneva Mayor

Alderman Tom Simonian is seeking to unseat longtime Geneva mayor Kevin Burns in Tuesday's election.

Burns has served four terms as Geneva's mayor while Simonian is currently an alderman for the fifth ward in Geneva. Burns says his experience, effectiveness and engagement in the community make him the clear choice for mayor. Simonian has accused Burns of misusing city resources while campaigning.
