2 Charged In Armed Carjacking At McDonald's Drive-Thru In Lombard
Police say the victim was in the McDonald's drive-thru when he was approached by two armed men in ski masks.

LOMBARD, IL — Two men have been charged with stealing a car at gunpoint at a McDonald's drive-thru in Lombard. Police say Dallas Dabney, 25, of Broadview, and Antonio Protho, 19, of Chicago, stole a man's Cadillac SUV while he was waiting in the drive-thru line at the McDonald's at 300 E. Roosevelt Rd just before 3 a.m. Thursday.
According to police, Dabney and Protho came up to the victim's car wearing ski masks and displaying guns. Police say Protho pointed a gun at the man and demanded he get out of his car. The man complied and Dabney and Protho fled in the car, police say.
Police added that another car that was driven by an "unknown accomplice" and was behind the victim in the drive-thru line fled as well.

Police say the car was later involved in a crash at Roosevelt Road and the I-290 ramp following a brief pursuit by Elmhurst Police. Dabney and Protho were taken into custody shortly after and police say they recovered two guns.

DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement, "The allegations that these two men traveled to DuPage County, ordered a man out of his vehicle at gunpoint while he waited in line for food and then stole his vehicle are outrageous. The quick apprehension of these men however, sends the message that even in these extremely trying times, law enforcement in DuPage County is functioning at one hundred percent and anyone who commits such a brazen act will be quickly caught and find themselves facing serious charges."
Dabney and Protho are each being held on $250,000 bond and are set to appear in court on May 19. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Lombard Police Department at 630-873-4400.
