2014 Woman's Club Holiday Fund Raiser Was Great Success

Tuesday, December 9, the Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn welcomed 90 members and guests of the Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club to the 2014 Holiday Fund Raiser. The activities for the afternoon luncheon included a very successful Silent Auction, and a great performance by Kym Frankovelgia, who sang a variety of Christmas songs, familiar songs that she invented new lyrics for and snappy patter to go along with the musical selections.Thanks to the hard work of Phyllis Schoene, Social Chairman, Mary Ann Zeitz, President, and Donna Benshoof, Corresponding Secretary, the club earned almost $3,000. Their goal for 2015 is to fund a scholarship for each of the two Glenbard High Schools, West and South. Along with their other philanthropic projects this fund raiser earned an encouraging amount of money toward their goal. Thank you to all the merchants, restaurants and businesses who contributed to the success of this event.
