Nate Baranowski fell in love with street painting while pursuing a bachelor's degree in fine arts at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition to chalk art, he creates painted murals, digital paintings and concept art, according to his website.
In September, two original murals by Tony Fitzpatrick were unveiled at 427 Main St. The College of DuPage (COD) alum's murals heralded the start of the college's public arts initiative and partnership with DuPage County. COD also plans to help the village create at least two more public art installations and establish a public arts committee that will help promote community engagement with the arts.
