3 Egg Hunts, Easter Bunny Party, More: Easter Events In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — It's hard to believe that Easter 2023 is right around the corner. Once again, the Glen Ellyn Park District has planned a number of events for kids and families to celebrate the holiday.

Here's a roundup of the fun Easter events you can check out in Glen Ellyn.

Eggs-traordinary Egg Hunt

April 7 at 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Maryknoll Park, 845 Pershing Ave., Glen Ellyn

Geared toward children who are six years old or younger, this Easter Egg hunt kicks off with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Participants should bring their own Easter baskets, which they can fill with colorful eggs stuffed with goodies. The cost to attend is $12 for nonresidents and $8 for residents.

Flashlight Egg Hunt

April 6 at 7:45 p.m. for kids six to eight years old; 8:45 p.m. for kids ages nine to 11

Churchill Park, 271 St. Charles Rd., Glen Ellyn

After dark, older kids can bring their flashlights and baskets to take part in a Flashlight Egg Hunt. Eggs will be hidden throughout Churchill Park and filled with toys, prizes, candy and chances to win an Easter basket teeming with more goodies.

Adults-Only Egg Hunt

March 31 at 8:30 p.m.

Lake Ellyn Boathouse, 645 Lenox Rd., Glen Ellyn

Even grownups can get into the Easter fun with an Adults-Only Egg Hunt that will be held at Lake Ellyn Boathouse. Eggs will be filled with candy and gift cards, so participants should come equipped with baskets and flashlights. This 21-and-older event includes beverages and snacks.

The cost to register is $15 for residents and $30 for nonresidents.

Hopper Cottontail and Friends Hoppy Party

April 8 at 11 a.m.

Ackerman SFC, 800 St. Charles Rd., Glen Ellyn

The highlight of this party is a visit from the Easter Bunny, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Other costumed characters will be on hand as kid ages two to eight years old decorated Easter-themed cookies, compete in an egg toss contest, snack on pizza and make arts and crafts. Kids can also play in a bounce house.
