After Brutal Cold, Warm-Up Ahead for Coming Days

Expect warmer temps this weekend in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn.

The Chicago area could get some reprieve from the bitter cold temperatures in coming days.

The highlight will be Saturday when a high of 37 degrees is in the forecast for Wheaton and Glen Ellyn while a high of 29 degrees is expected Thursday and a high of 30 degrees is predicted for Friday. Sunday will see a high around 31 degrees.

There will also be some sunshine with partly sunny skies expected Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and mostly sunny skies on Friday.

Heading into next week, a high of 28 degrees is expected for Martin Luther King Day on Monday. There will be a chance of snow showers on Tuesday and a high of 32.
