April the Tabby Cat: DuPage County Pet Pick of the Week

This petite 13-year-old cat loves to be pet.

Meet April, the Pet Pick of the Week from DuPage County Animal Care and Control.

April is a 13-year-old female domestic short haired tabby cat. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and her adoption fee is only $1, thanks to the Friends of DCACC Foundation.

Here’s a fun fact about April: she’s a polydactyl, which means she has six toes on each of her front paws. Her paws look large compared to her petite body.

April gets a little nervous when she’s let out of her cage, but she loves being pet when she’s inside it. She’ll roll around and purr to show gratitude, and it’s impossible to resist her sweet face.

If you are interested in adopting April or another animal, visit the shelter at 120 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, or call 630-407-2800.
