Art in the Era of Downton Abbey Program for Community Associates Valentine Lunch

On Wednesday, February 11, at the Carlisle Banquet Hall, 435 East Butterfield Road in Lombard, the Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute present their Valentine Luncheon that is open to members and guests. In fact, guests are encouraged to come and experience a program presented by Jeff Nigro, art historian and lecturer, titled Art in the Era of Downton Abbey. The Valentine Luncheon begins at 11:30 AM with a social time, lunch is served at 12:15 PM and the program begins at 1:30 PM. Because of the menu choice for lunch of stuffed pork loin or salmon fillet, members and guests are encouraged to get their reservations in to club member Rose Kallas beginning as early as January 12 and meeting a January 26 deadline. The fee for this event is members, $36.00 and non-members (guests) $41.00. Reservations for members can be made by sending their lunch choice and payment to Rose Kallas, 910 N. The phenomenal success of the British television series Downton Abbey has renewed interest in the early 20th Century, a complex time of cultural as well as social change. Nigro will take his audience through the many changes that culture as well as social structure endured. The Community Associates welcomes guests to join them and enjoy a very special Valentine Luncheon.
