Artist Reception at GreenFields of Geneva
GreenFields of Geneva will host an artist reception for Re Kielar whose work is on display at the retirement community's art gallery.
On Friday, September 14, GreenFields of Geneva will host an artist reception for Re Kielar whose work is on display at the retirement community’s art gallery. The exhibit, “Where Beauty Meets My Mess” features 18 abstract works created in mixed media collage. Each piece is accompanied by an inspirational poem written by Kielar.
In addition to displaying her work, Kielar has been teaching painting classes to residents at GreenFields. “She gives people a chance to try a new skill or develop their love art through acrylic painting,” said Emily Abrahamson, life enrichment coordinator at GreenFields. “Now we are thrilled to have her as a guest artist.”
Each month, the GreenFields art gallery, which is open to the community, features the work of a local artist. The opening artist reception provides the residents an opportunity to learn about the artist’s creative process over drinks and appetizers.
