Blessing of the Backpacks August 30

On Sunday August 30 St. Thomas United Methodist Church in Glen Ellyn will hold a Blessing of the Backpacks as part of the 10:00 a.m. service to celebrate and encourage all students as they launch a new school year. All are invited to join in for the Backpack Blessing Event and worship which will be held outdoors on the church lawn. Students of all ages are encouraged to bring their school backpack to church to share a Backpack Blessing as the new school year begins. A potluck BBQ lunch will follow the service.
