Be part of the dialogue when Hannah Rapp, Teen Librarian, leads the discussion of Good Girls Don’t Get Fat by Dr. Silverman at the Glen Ellyn public library. Good Girls Don’t Get Fat explores the effect of the nation’s obsession with weight on vulnerable teenage girls and explores ways that parents and others can help combat these harmful effects.

Author Dr. Robyn Silverman appears at the Glenbard South Auditorium on Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 pm as part of this series with a program titled “Thriving Under Pressure: How to Help Youth Set Goals, Discover Their Strengths, and the Strategies for Motivation and Good Health”. A 6:15 pm Wellness Expo will precede the 7:00pm program.

Also, at 12:00pm on May 7, Dr Silverman will present “Helping Girls Thrive”: Developing Their Confidence, Goals and Leadership” at the Community Consolidated School District #93 Administration Center at 230 Covington Dr. in Bloomingdale.
