Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Hospitalizes 2 At Glen Ellyn Ice Rink
The children were playing hockey when they became ill from carbon monoxide exposure.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — A hockey game was halted Sunday night after two people were hospitalized for carbon monoxide exposure. The incident took place at Center Ice of DuPage and sickened multiple people, ABC 7 reports.
Once more players began getting ill, the game was canceled and 911 was called. The building was evacuated once it was determined that carbon monoxide levels were dangerously high. During the incident, residents took to social media to share posts and photos as the ice rink was evacuated.

The Glen Ellyn Fire Department arrived at the scene with an exhaust fan.

Games were canceled and organizers plan to reschedule them once the carbon monoxide issue is resolved.
