Carol Stream Woman Wins $200,000 Lottery Prize

CAROL STREAM, IL - A Carol Stream woman has won a $200,000 lottery prize.

Nataliya Gavrilenko said she purcheses about two to thee instant lottery tickets a month. She was happily surprised when she recently scratched her Illinois Lottery Bingo ticket and instantly won $200,000.

“When the clerk confirmed my prize was $200,000, I was shocked," she said.

When asked about her plans for the windfall she said, “I am going to take my mother on a nice vacation and then put the rest in the bank.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Valli Produce, 155 North Avenue in Glendale Heights. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
