COD to Host Rallies to Help Students Register Early for Spring 2020 Term

College of DuPage will host multiple registration activities to help students navigate the early enrollment process for the spring 2020 term before class seats fill. All registration events take place on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., and designated COD centers.

Priority registration opens on Tuesday, Oct. 29, for students with 30 or more completed credits and Tuesday, Nov. 5, for students with 29 or fewer credits. COD’s spring term begins Saturday, Jan. 18, and includes 16-, 12- and two 8-week sessions. Scheduled events include:

  • Students interested in transferring are invited to attend National Transfer Week activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Thursday, Oct. 14 to 17, in the Student Services Atrium. During the week, students will learn about the transfer process, network with experts from colleges and universities to learn about transfer opportunities, attend application and scholarship workshops and discuss academic planning with counselors and advisors.   • Join navigators from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct 14, Thursday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 18, in the Student Services Center Atrium, to learn more about the registration process and important enrollment dates while snacking on buttery popcorn.
  • Learn about COD opportunities, scholarships and financial aid assistance, while eating appetizers, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the McAninch Arts Center Lobby, during Junior and Senior night. High school juniors and seniors are also invited to visit local COD centers throughout November. Events will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the Naperville Center, 1223 Rickert Drive; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Westmont Center, 650 Pasquinelli Drive; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the Addison Center, 301 S. Swift Road; and 5 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the Carol Steam Center, 500 Kuhn Road.
  • Students with 30 or more credits are invited to enjoy warm cinnamon rolls from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the Student Services Center Atrium for priority registration. Student representatives from various service departments will be on hand to answer questions and help students register for classes, secure financial aid and discuss degree progression.
  • Students with less than 30 credit hours and new students are invited to enjoy warm cinnamon rolls while registering for spring classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 19, in the Student Services Atrium. Student representatives from various service departments will be on hand to answer questions and help students register for classes, secure financial aid and discuss degree progression.
