GLEN ELLYN, IL — Bond has been set for $300,000 for the second of two men charged in a September 2016 armed robbery at College of DuPage, County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced. The men, who were COD students at the time, are accused of stealing a female student’s purse at gunpoint in a parking garage on the college campus.

Judge Richard Russo set bond at $300,000 for Deandre Ford, 19, of Glen Ellyn. Ford and 19-year-old Javon Burruss have both been charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery and robbery. In February, Judge Russo set bond at $250,000 for Burruss.

Police sought both men after the September 12, 2016 College of DuPage robbery, in which Burruss was reportedly armed with a gun. Police said the weapon, later determined to be a BB gun, was held in “ready position” as the two men allegedly stole the victim’s purse and fled.
