College of DuPage Celebrates National Transfer Week Oct. 19 to 22

Events Include Virtual Workshops and Information Sessions

Learn about transfer processes and resources available to students during National Transfer Week, Oct. 19 to 22 at College of DuPage. Scheduled virtual presentations and workshops will provide students the opportunity to learn about college transfer, explore career options and meet with representatives from COD and the College’s university and college partners.

Business Transfer Drop-In Session

Monday, Oct. 19

1 to 2 p.m.

Business, Management and Marketing Program Chair Shannon Toler discusses a variety of topics, including transferrable courses, best math classes to take and the types of jobs available to business majors.

Transfer Admission and Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop

Tuesday, Oct. 20

10 to 11 a.m.

Learn best practices and tips for writing essays for admission and scholarship applications.

Transfer Information Sessions

Tuesday, Oct. 20

2 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.

Learn about transfer opportunities from representatives from a variety of four-year colleges and universities, including DePaul, DeVry, Loyola and Western Illinois universities, and Lake Forest and Ripon colleges.

Steps to Transfer Workshop

1 to 2 p.m.

Learn the ins-and-outs of the transfer process and gain the knowledge and tools needed for a successful transfer.
