Community Associates Celebrate the Holidays Learning About the Development of Marshall Field's Departmnent Store

Historian and Dramatic Actress, Leslie Goddard gave a program about the creation of the beloved department store, Marshall Field's.

Historian and Dramatic Actress, Leslie Goddard captured the attention and delight of her audience at the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago during the annual Holiday Luncheon in the Carlisle Banquets on Wednesday, December 3. She began her program with the beginning of the dry goods business in Chicago created by the core of business men that included Potter Palmer and Marshall Field. Her approach to the subject of Field’s Department Store was interactive as she asked Field based questions of her audience. It was agreed that everyone loved Frango Mints. Every one enjoyed sharing memories with Goddard about Marshall Fields Department Stores. For information about the Community Associates contact 630-534-8418.
