Discover Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Opportunities Sept. 23 at College of DuPage

Learn about careers and educational options in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields at College of DuPage’s STEM Spotlight event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College’s main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
Free and open to the public, this event is geared toward prospective STEM students and high school juniors and seniors. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with COD faculty, browse information tables, participate in career inventory assessments, learn about scholarship opportunities, explore two- and four-year programs, and hear from an alumni panel. The event also will provide information about transfer opportunities, College services and resources, and student clubs.

The goal of STEM at College of DuPage is to enhance the quality of STEM instructional and outreach programs and to help current and future students prepare for careers in STEM fields. COD offers a broad range of academic programs designed to provide students with the educational background and training needed to successfully pursue an advanced degree or career in STEM. The College also offers a broad range of STEM-related activities and events designed to inform, inspire and entertain, including STEMinars, Women in STEM Career Days, and STEMCON, a free, interactive, family-based celebration of all things STEM.
College of DuPage is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Serving approximately 25,000 students each term, College of DuPage is the largest public community college in the state of Illinois. The College grants seven associate degrees and offers more than 170 career and technical certificates in over 50 areas of study.
