District 41 Holds Parent Camp About Student Emotional Wellbeing

Parents are invited to the free event to learn more about social and emotional issues in school.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn District 41 is holding a free Parent Camp to help both parents and staff learn more about social and emotional challenges that students face in and out of school. The Oct. 4 event, which organizers have nicknamed an "unconference" will be held in an informal setting to allow parents and teachers to discuss issues in an open forum.

During the parent camp, teachers, board members, and District 41 Superintendent Paul Gordon will give lectures that address confronting such ideas as learning more about inclusion practices and helping students develop a sense of belonging.

The Parent Camp will be held at Churchill Elementary School from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and registration is not required.
