DUI Charges Filed In Crash That Killed Mom Of Four In Streamwood

Police charged Hinigo Olvera, 67, in the death of Aries Cobian of Glendale Heights.

STREAMWOOD, IL — A 67-year-old man has been charged with DUI after he allegedly hit and killed a 29-year-old mother of four in Streamwood Tuesday. Hinigo Olvera, of the 100 block of Barrett Lane, faces a felony charge of aggravated DUI causing death in the fatal crash that killed Aries Cobian, who was 11 weeks pregnant at the time of the collision

Police say Cobian was pushing a car eastbound on Lake Street near Park Avenue when she was hit from behind by a pickup truck that Olvera was driving. Cobian was rushed to St. Alexius Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Cobian is survived by four children, ages 10, 8, 3, and six months, according to a GoFundMe campaign started to help her family. As of Wednesday afternoon, the campaign had raised more than $1,000 of its $10,0000 goal.

Olvera was set to appear in bond court in Rolling Meadows on Wednesday.
