Led by COD Physics Professor Tom Carter, Engineering Club members tested their knowledge of buoyancy and dynamics by constructing boats using the two materials. After the final race, Kapnick’s team, which included Tiffani Barbee, Jesse Fisher and Lukas Williams, received the Last Boat Standing award. A second team, which included Salim Aboufariss, Omar Elsalaymeh and Rei Hodo, received the award for fastest boat. A third team, which included Joe Butkus, Matt Kennedy, Darren Kruchko, Guilherme Lessa, Brian Martin and Johnny Tran, received the Most Stylish Boat award.
