Examine the Intersection of Science and Religion Nov. 29 at College of DuPage
The Philosophy and Religious Studies program at College of DuPage will host “Religion and Science: Is There Conflict Between Them?” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Health and Science Center, Room 1234, on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
This event is free and open to the public.
Featuring COD Philosophy and Religious Studies faculty and lecturers Aaron Bartolome, Peter Kanetis and Jonathan Parsons, this discussion will address conflicts between religion and science, the potential approaches for seeking knowledge outside of the scientific method, and what evolution reveals about the social dimensions of religious beliefs and practices. An audience question and answer session will follow.

The Philosophy and Religious Studies program at College of DuPage provides students with introductory and specialized courses that explore the development of humankind’s ideas and value systems.
