Fall Killed Addison Woman, 20, Found Dead At Starved Rock: Coroner

The LaSalle County Coroner's Office recently identified a woman who was found dead at the bottom of Wildcat Canyon.

UTICA, IL — A fall killed the Addison woman who was found at the bottom of a canyon in Starved Rock State Park last Tuesday, according to the LaSalle County Coroner's Office.

The 20-year-old victim was identified as Gabriella J. Paulsen after an autopsy that was conducted April 6. Police say foul play is not suspected in Paulsen's death.

Police were called to Starved Rock State Park's Wildcat Canyon around 9:30 a.m. on April 4 for a report of a person lying on the floor of the canyon. The person, later identified as Paulsen, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Illinois Conservation Police Department and the LaSalle County Coroner's Office are still investigating the incident.
