McAninch Arts Center (MAC), located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD), presents the 2024 Lakeside Pavilion Free Outdoor Summer Series. Programming runs July 12-Aug. 9. Concert programming includes a Friday evening Pops Concert Series and Thursday evening WDCB LIVE Jazz Concert Series.

WDCB 90.9 FM, Chicago’s home for jazz, located on the campus of COD, curates the Thursday Evening WDCB LIVE Jazz Concert Series. The free, two-concert series is as follows:

  • 7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 18: Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio performs an unforgettable concert of soulful gems ranging from the infectious rhythms of the 1960s organ jazz stylings of Jimmy Smith and Baby Face Willette to the snappy soul strut of Booker T. & The M.G.’s to unforgettable melodies of Motown, Stax Records, blues, and the cosmic Jimi Hendrix-style guitar. In 2021, their sophomore studio album "I Told You So" debuted atop multiple Billboard Charts: number one on the Contemporary Jazz Album chart, number three on the Jazz Album chart. • 7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 25: Composer, bandleader and three-time Grammy-nominated Indonesian-born jazz pianist Joey Alexander has been widely regarded as one of the most highly skilled pianists and thoughtful improvisers in jazz. He became the first Indonesian musician to chart on Billboard 200 with his first album “My Favorite Things.” Other performance credits include performing at the Montreal and Newport Jazz Festivals and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
