Glen Ellyn French Market Gets New Location And Live Entertainment in 2017

The Glen Ellyn French Market is set to open June 4 in the Main Street Station. This year will feature more than 40 vendors and live shows.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn residents can say ‘bonjour’ to the village’s annual French market on June 4, when the colorful bazaar kicks off its season. This year, the Glen Ellyn French Market has a new home in the Main Street Station.

The Glen Ellyn French Market will be open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from June 4 through October 29. More than 40 local vendors stalls will sell fresh produce, handmade jewelry, fragrant flowers and authentic French cuisine. Organic meats and baked goods will also be available for purchase.

There will also be plenty of entertainment at the French Market in Glen Ellyn this year too. Visitors can dance to live music and kids can get their faces painted by a local artist. The market will celebrate opening day with giveaways for the first visitors.

Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce executive director Dawn Smith said of the new location, “The downtown area’s vibrancy will create endless possibilities for a new and improved French Market,” said Dawn Smith, executive director of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce. “In addition to providing fresh produce and locally grown food, it offers a space for residents and visitors to come together to see neighbors and discover our local community every Sunday.”
