Glen Ellyn Historical Society Names New Executive Director

GLEN ELLYN HISTORICAL SOCIETY PRESS RELEASE - A New Executive Director has been named at the Glen Ellyn Historical Society

GEHS Welcomes a New Executive Director for 2023

The Glen Ellyn Historical Society, welcomes a new interim executive
director this January. Sara Grabenhofer will start her new position on
Monday, January 9th. After eight years with the Historical Society,
Executive Director Karen Hall is moving to a new position as CEO of a
non-profit in Oak Brook. She will still be a Glen Ellyn resident, and we
will likely see her at GEHS events. She is very grateful for all the
kindness and support during her time with the Historical Society.
Sara Grabenhofer
has been an enthusiastic and skilled volunteer with the Historical
Society, and has been serving as Vice President of the Board of
Directors. She is also the chair of Pioneer Day. Sara holds a BA in
English from Elmhurst College and an MLA from Johns Hopkins University.
She is also working to obtain a certificate in Digital Archiving. She
and her husband Alex, along with their two daughters, thoroughly enjoy
living in Glen Ellyn. On the next trip to the History Center, do welcome
Sara to her new position! We are lucky to have her!
