Glen Ellyn Man Killed In Car Crash

OAK BROOK, IL - The fatal victim of a serious crash in Oak Brook Thursday afternoon has been identified as Chen Tien of Glen Ellyn. Tien was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in critical condition after law enforcement responded to the scene at 1:24 p.m. Tien was 84 years old, according to an Oak Brook The Doings report.

Several others were injured in the afternoon crash at the busy intersection of 22nd Street and Midwest Road. Witnesses told police that a red pickup truck was driving erratically on Midwest Road when it ran a red light and struck two vehicles in the intersection. Tien was the lone occupant of one of the vehicles hit.
