Info about our program:

Glen Ellyn, IL: St. Barnabas Episcopal church located on Butterfield Rd. in Glen Ellyn is offering a new program to the community. The purpose of the St. Barnabas Parent’s Day Out (PDO) program is to provide competent care for preschool age children from 2 years of age through 4 years of age. We believe that parents have a needfor regular and reliable part-time care for their children, and that children can benefit from time away from home meeting and playing with other children in a loving and caring environment. PDO is a community service sponsored by St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Any member of our local community may be eligible to enroll.

PDO will be in session from September 5, 2017 to May 17, 2018 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am-1pm. PDO will follow the school calendar of Glen Ellyn School District 89. Each child may enroll for up to two days per week.

Another local PDO program that we have worked closely with to model our program after, has already filled their spots for the 2017/2018 school year. We are very excited to provide this much-needed option for childcare for busy families.

Our Facilities and Staff: Our main PDO room is a 784 square foot enclosed room full of play areas that include blocks, books, art, trains, kitchen, sensory table and so much more. We will also make use of an additional large indoor open space each day for large motor play that includes ride-ons, obstacle courses, slides, climbers and a bounce house! If weather permits, we may play on our patio that has a sand box. Our building doors will remain locked during PDO hours. Additionally, we have security cameras set up at the
entrances to the building and monitor those who enter. All PDO staff are CPR certified and experienced care-givers with many years of experience.
