Glen Ellyn Park District To Host Free Guided Nature Walk

GLEN ELLYN, IL—The Glen Ellyn Park District has scheduled a free guided nature walk for Friday, Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Guests will enjoy a morning walk along the Great Western Trail to Churchhill Woods Forest Preserve and back.

If interested in attending, you're asked to meet at the playground at Ackerman Park.

"We'll check on the local Monk Parakeets and walk Churchhill Wood's Prairie Nature Preserve," park staff said via social media.

Total distance covered will be about 2.5 miles, according to the park.

"Bundle up, it will be in the 20s, but we will be moving to stay warm," park staff said.
