Glen Ellyn Police Department To Hold 'Drop And Go' Food Drive

GLEN ELLYN, IL — With the coronavirus shutdown causing shortages at local food pantries, the Glen Ellyn Police Department is doing what it can to help. Starting Wednesday, the police department will hold a Drop and Go Food Drive to benefit Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.

The food drive will be held Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Glen Ellyn Police Department parking lot. To donate, enter the lot and follow the signs, then place your donation items in the designated bins.

The following items are needed for donation:

  • Canned fruit
  • Canned chicken
  • Brown and white rice
  • Dried beans
  • Cooking oil
  • Cereal
  • Boxed pasta
  • Oatmeal
  • Any other non-perishable goods
