Glendale Heights Man Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize
Terry Palade says he plans to put his winnings in the bank for now.

A Glendale Heights man is the lucky winner of a $100,000 lottery prize.
Terry Palade scratched an Illinois Lottery 100X The Cash ticket and instantly won $100,000, according to an Illinois Lottery press release.
“I wasn’t really shocked to win such a big prize, I was actually pretty calm about it,”Palade said.

An occasional Lottery player, Palade said he buys one or two instant tickets each week. He bought his $100,000 winning ticket out of a lottery self-service machine and used a quarter to scratch it.
“When I realized I won, I signed the back of my ticket right away,” he said. He plans to put his winnings in the bank for now.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jewel Food Store, 2164 Bloomingdale Road in Glendale Heights. The retailer received a $1,000 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
