GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Glen Ellyn's Hadley Junior High School will host a special open house event on Aug. 26 to unveil the school's new addition and introduce new District 41 Superintendent Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski. Those who attend can watch the ribbon cutting for the new addition and take guided tours of the new space.

Construction on Hadley's multi-million dollar addition started in April of 2018 after voters narrowly approved a referendum to fund the $24.2 million project with bonds. The two-story expansion includes an auditorium and updates to improve the junior high school's accessibility and safety.

Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski, who replaces Dr. Paul Gordon as District 41 superintendent will be present at the event to meet and greet parents and students. Kaczkowski, who formerly served as superintendent of District 12 schools in Roselle, was appointed to District 41 in March.
