New Superintendent Appointed To Glen Ellyn District 41
A superintendent from Roselle has been hired to replace Dr. Paul Gordon.
GLEN ELLYN, IL -- After an intensive nationwide candidate search and interview process, Glen Ellyn District 41 has appointed a new superintendent to replace Dr. Paul Gordon. The District 41 Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski, who is the current superintendent of Roselle School District 12.
In a press release, district officials said Kaczkowski has more than three decades of experience in education. After earning her master's degree in education from University of Illinois, Kaczkowski earned a doctor of education degree in educational leadership from Aurora University.
She holds a National Superintendent Certification and formerly served as principal of Batavia School District 101.

Kaczkowski replaces Gordon after board members voted in favor of not renewing Gordon's contract at the start of the school year. Gordon recently announced that he has accepted an appointment as superintendent of Wenatchee School District in Washington.
Kaczkowski will officially begin serving as superintendent of District 41 on July 1, 2019.
