'Holiday View at Reserve 22' Holiday Pop-Up Bar is Here!
The suburbs' first holiday pop-up bar is open now through January 5th at Reserve 22 in Glen Ellyn.
Reserve 22 Restaurant and Bar is bursting with joy to announce their own holiday pop-up bar which debuted Tuesday, November 19th and runs through January 5th during the restaurant’s regular business hours.
Patrons can expect to see thousands of holiday lights throughout the bar area, three Christmas trees, Nutcrackers galore, hundreds of ornaments and bows, over 150 snowflakes and an “Instagram-worthy” “elfie” photo area with a life size Buddy the Elf. They also have their very own ‘elf on the shelf’ that will move daily for kids and adults alike to search for.
“We’ve seen holiday pop-ups of this kind in Chicago, and we thought, ‘why not here in Glen Ellyn?” stated Food & Beverage Director Brad Chapple. “This is our small holiday gift to our patrons (in the form of holiday cheer), and I think they are going to love it!”

Several caroling nights are lined up during the pop-up’s run, and chef Thomas Fota is preparing a holiday menu with comfort dishes including Chicken Saltimbocca, Pasta Alla Fota and Short Rib Stew. Festive drinks such as cranberry mistletoe mules, christmapolitans and Cousin Eddie’s spiked eggnog are on the holiday cocktail menu.
Reserve 22 is also hosting a Bows for Charity fundraiser which will offer patrons the opportunity to purchase gift wrapping bows for $1 which will be displayed on their “wall of bows” near the hostess stand. All proceeds will be split equally between the participating charities which include Young Life, Bridge Communities, People’s Resource Center and the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.

Reservations are encouraged but not required. Reserve 22 is located at 485 Winchell Way in Glen Ellyn (at the Village Links Golf Course), and is closed on Mondays November through March. Reserve 22 also boasts a private banquet room to accommodate up to 160 seated guests and is the perfect backdrop for any holiday party.
