How Much Rain Has Fallen So Far in Glen Ellyn?
Only .12 inches of rain had fallen as of Tuesday morning but more rain is expected this afternoon and through Wednesday.

As of Tuesday morning, .12 inches of rain had fallen over 24 hours in Glen Ellyn, according to the National Weather Service.
A dreary forecast over the next day will bring with it more rain. The bulk of the rain is expected today and tonight with some areas in northern Illinois expected to get between 1.5 and three inches of total rain through Wednesday.
Some of the rain Tuesday afternoon will become moderate to heavy with a few chances of thunderstorms possible, which will increase the rainfall rates. A break in the steadier rain is expected late this afternoon through this evening. But, the rain will pick back up in coverage and intensity later tonight and early into Wednesday morning, according to the NWS.

Heavier rainfall amounts as of this morning were recorded in DeKalb and LaSalle counties, according to the National Weather Service. As of 7 a.m. Tuesday, Shabbona in DeKalb County had 1.25 inches of rain over 24 hours.
The heavy rainfall could cause area streams to rise and could cause some localized flooding.
