Innovation DuPage Construction To Start In Summer
The business incubator will transform the former police station into an open coworking space.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The former Glen Ellyn Police Department will start to transform this summer to make way for Innovation DuPage, which will be housed at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center. The new business incubator will renovate 8,200 square feet in the center to the house an open co-working space, along with College of DuPage's Center for Entrepreneurship.
Village officials say they are working with Innovation DuPage and its design team to ensure that the $2 million dollar project preserves the "historic character" of the Civic Center, according to a new release.
Innovation DuPage was approved by board members in late 2017. Its mission is to "strengthen the economic health of our community," College of DuPage President Ann Rondeau said in an announcement on YouTube. "Innovation DuPage will support economic growth and job creation in DuPage County and beyond," Rondeau said.
