Lawsuit Filed Against Gym Where Boy Fatally Hurt On Zipline
The lawsuit alleges that Brady Doherty, 7, did not have a spotter, a harness or a helmet before he fell from the zipline.

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- A Glen Ellyn family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the gym where their son was fatally injured in a zipline accident. Brady Doherty, 7, had been playing at My Gym in Wheaton for a friend's birthday party in late September when he sustained "massive skull and brain injuries" after falling from a zipline ride, ABC reports.
The lawsuit alleges that Brady did not have a spotter, a harness or a helmet when he rode the zipline. His family says he then hit a pole that was not padded before falling off of the ride and onto a cement floor.
Brady succumbed to his injuries two days after the accident. My Gym closed temporarily in the wake of Doherty's death, but reopened just over a week later.
