Learn to Recognize and Avoid Frauds and Scams Aimed at Seniors Aug. 8 at College of DuPage

College of DuPage will host “Current Frauds and Scams Targeting the Elderly” from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, in the Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
Presented as part of the Homeland Security Training Institute’s Senior Citizen Crime Prevention Series, the free, two-hour workshop features Mike Carroll, president of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators, who will outline current frauds and scams, how to avoid becoming a victim, and tools for fraud and scam victims.
