Team Sub 3, a group of eight mainly Naperville men between 35 and 55, have been training vigorously in recent weeks as they prep for the 26.2-mile race, according to the Daily Herald. The group also includes one Wheaton resident and one woman.
In a nod to most of their corporate backgrounds, the group chooses a leader for each of their training sessions, which they refer to as the CTO, or Chief Training Officer. They meet early with 5 a.m. runs during the week so everyone can make it to work on time since two of the members work in Chicago, the Daily Herald reports.

The runners train 40 to 60 miles per week during the year for marathons in the spring and fall, the newspaper reports. Some have achieved a Sub 3 marathon, which equates to around a 6:50-minute mile pace, in the seven years that the group has been meeting and some, if not all, will be gunning for it on Sunday, according to the newspaper.
