- Now – Oct. 6 the Cleve Carney Museum of Art (CCMA), located adjacent to the MAC, presents the exhibition Alberto Aguilar: “Grid Luck.” Aguilar explores the grid's role as both a generative and expansive tool. Drawing inspiration from COD’s Permanent Art Collection, the exhibit reimagines the materials and spaces within the CCMA, leading to the creation of new site-specific works. Aguilar's innovative approach uses existing objects from institutional spaces as his materials offering a fresh take on traditional art-making, providing a new perspective on often overlooked possibilities. - Now through October, the COD campus is one of the 15 sites featuring the brightly painted Olmec head sculptures for the public art project: “Olmec Trails: Culture and Legacy.” 10 sculptures can be seen on the COD campus and the MAC is the perfect place to begin a sculpture tour with the MAC’s educational lobby display. A total of 33 sculptures painted by 33 artists from across North America have been installed throughout the Chicago area, with the majority in DuPage County.
