Police say a man wearing a fake mustache offered candy to two children in south Glendale Heights.

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who offered candy to two boys after they got off their school bus in Glendale Heights Tuesday. The incident took place not far from the Glen Ellyn border in the 1600 block of Shorewood Dr. at approximately 4:49 p.m.
According to police, the man pulled up alongside the boys in an older red four-door car and asked two boys —11 and 13 years old— if they wanted candy or potato chips, Sun-Times reports. The man reportedly fled south on Bloomingdale after one of the boys said they would call the police.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s with a freckled, clean-shaven face. According to Sun-Times, police say the man "may have put on or removed" a false mustache when he offered candy to the children.
