New Directors Installed and the Story of Alice McChesney Shared

Thursday, November 6, at 7:00 PM, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society convened their annual meeting. The Board of Directors were introduced and five new board members were voted into their responsibilities. Suzanne Carty (President), Lee Marks (board member), Mark Pfefferman (board member), Julie Worthen (board member) and John Zemenak (Vice President) were unanimously elected.. ‘Meet Alice McChesney” was the title of the program presented by Leland Livingston, a GEHS member who has done extensive research on Alice McChesney, independent woman, trail blazer for equal rights and who distinguished herself as a successful woman of the time period.
