Park District’s Seeks Citizens' Finance Committee Members

Glen Ellyn Park District is seeking volunteers to serve on the Citizens' Finance Committee. Applications are due no later than May 31, 2019.

Glen Ellyn Park District is seeking volunteers to serve on the Citizens’ Finance Committee, which reviews aspects of the District’s finances and budget to help guide the Board's future decision making. Applications are due no later than May 31, 2019, and interviews will be scheduled in subsequent weeks.

Applicants must be residents of the Glen Ellyn Park District and able to attend 4-6 meetings a year. Meetings are most often held weekday mornings prior to standard work shifts or early evenings Monday - Thursday at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center.

Preference will be given to applicants with a background in finance, accounting or business. Some experience and knowledge of the Glen Ellyn Park District is welcomed.

The Glen Ellyn Park District Board approved the formation of the 7- to 9-member Citizens' Finance Committee in 2011. In addition to helping develop long-range financial plans, the Committee may also be assigned special projects such as analyzing an asset replacement schedule or a future capital project.
