Where You Can Recycle Your Pumpkin Today in Glen Ellyn

The Pumpkin Recycling Event is held at SCARCE Organization, 799 Roosevelt Road, Building 2, Suite 108 on Saturday, November 7, from 9am to 12pm. Besides SCARCE there are several other drop off locations in DuPage County. After collection, pumpkins will be taken to Compost Supply for composting into nutrient-rich soil.

Pumpkin recycling last year was a great success, with three sites collecting a total of 9.31 tons of pumpkins for composting. Thinkof all the water and nutrients that were sent back to Illinois’ soil!
Please remember to remove all candles and decorative items from pumpkins before dumping them in the bin. For more information, including all drop-off locations, please visit the SCARCE website.
