Pumpkin Recycling a Success: Over 18,000 Pumpkins Collected in Area

SCARCE will now host a Cooking Oil Thanksgiving Recycling Event on Nov. 29.

Pumpkin Recycling was a success, with the three locations in Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn and Wheaton collecting over 18,000 pounds of pumpkins for composting.

SCARCE announces plans to host a Cooking Oil Thanksgiving Recycling Event to be held on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Glen Ellyn is not a participating site for this special Saturday collection, but remains one of the six ongoing collection locations.

Glen Ellyn’s permanent collection site is located at Glenbard Wastewater Authority, 21W551 Bemis Road. Collection times are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
