Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Buttery Area in Stacy’s Tavern Museum

The Executive Board of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society approved the establishment of a Buttery in the back area of Stacy's Tavern Museum

The
Executive Board of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society approved the
establishment of a Buttery in the back area of Stacy’s Tavern
Museum. Pioneer homes used Buttery rooms for a place to store milk
provisions, butter, and kitchen utensils. Carpenter and GEHS member
Roger Olson studied the
construction of Buttery areas in Pioneer Homes and created the one at
Stacy’s Museum. It is now open to the public after a ribbon
cutting ceremony on Saturday, December 7.
