Senior Resource Expo at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center

Admission is free to this exciting senior-focused event which includes presentations, vendors, health screenings, and more.

The annual Senior Resource Expo, presented by the Glen Ellyn Park District, is coming back to Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center on Thursday, May 14th from 9am-12pm. Admission is free.

The Expo boasts over 35 booths of local senior services, organizations, healthcare services, and health screenings. For seniors, family members, and caregivers this is a one stop shop to gather and understand a wealth of important information focused on seniors.

Health screenings include hearing, blood pressure and skin analysis. The Expo will also feature educational presentations including Keeping the Keys by AAA and The Benefits of Balance by Joan Bry, Group Fitness Instructor.

A complimentary buffet will be available while supplies last and door prize drawings occur every hour during the expo. Goodie bags will be given to the first 200 attendees at the Expo.

Attendees age 60+ are invited to bring their workout clothes and participate in any of the group fitness classes offered at Ackerman SFC, as the expo falls during Senior Free Week (May 10 – May 16) at the facility. A full calendar of classes is available at www.AckermanSFC.com.

The 2015 Senior Resource Expo sponsors and community partners include: Daily Herald, Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, Brookdale Glen Ellyn, BrightStar Care of DuPage, Denson Shops, Inc., Home Care Assistance, Wyndemere Senior Living Community, and many more.
